On Tuesday, May 25th, 2004, the mayor of Houston decided not to go for just a day, or even a week to honor Pokémon – he went hog wild and declared June to be Pokémon Space Party month! That’s right – the month of June belongs to Pokémon fans in the Lone Star state as we celebrate the kickoff of the Pokémon Space Party at the Houston Space Center from May 29th through June 6th. Mayor Bill White and council member Addie Wiseman presided over the ceremony, which was attended by Pokémon execs and a few of our favorite characters! And don’t forget – Pokémon Space Party will include the latest preview of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, live Pokémon character appearances, Pokémon Trading Card Game clinics, and other cool contests, perfect prizes, and awesome activities! You’ll also be able to download Jirachi for your Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire game paks - check here for additional requirements. You’ll definitely swoon this June with the Pokémon Space Party – and now the whole month belongs to us!   |
