Thanksgiving can mean a lot of great things - eating lots of good home cooked food like turkey and stuffing
and pumpkin pie, spending a day with your extended family, having the day off from school or work, watching exciting football games, and of course, seeing the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade ® ! And the best part of the parade for any Pokémon Trainer is when Pikachu comes floating down Broadway!
The size of a small building, the Pikachu balloon is a truly impressive sight as it edges its way between the skyscrapers of New York City, entering storied Herald Square with its arms outstretched and a smile on its face! If you happen to be in New York City this Thursday, November 24th, you can, of course, watch the parade from the sidewalk and be awed by the great shadow of this famous Electric-type.
If you can't be in NYC, or just don't want to brave the crowds and weather, NBC will be broadcasting the parade live starting at 9am (check local listings)! As for Pikachu, it'll be on camera somewhere around 11:20am, so you might want to be settled in front of the TV by then, to cheer Pikachu on its 5th straight year of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade goodness!
