Catch a cool, colorful Pokémon experience and have a ball.
Pokémon pop out of the woodwork in the Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire themed GBA update of Pokémon Pinball - and you can catch them all with your rolling Poké Ball. The game's two tables (one Ruby, one Sapphire) are loaded with bumpers, switches, and targets that trigger game modes and open bonus fields.
In Catch 'Em mode, you can release Pokémon onto the center of the table, then capture them by directing the Poké Ball in their direction. Travel mode lets you switch to a different environment for a chance to find and collect other types of indigenous Pokémon. Egg mode allows you to hatch the creatures, which you'll evolve in Evo mode.
Every Pokémon that you find on the two tables apears in the game's built-on Pokédex. By linking your game with a friend's game via a Game Boy Advance Game Link cable, you can share Pokédex entries.
The graphics, music and Pikachu and Pichu voice samples are pure Pokémon - packed with cheerful exuberance. Although having only two tables may seem limiting, each one has enough depth to keep you entertained. You'll play for a long time before you unlock all of the secrets and fill your Pokédex.
Comments:
Steven: More then just a GBA makeover, the new Pokémon Pinball is an evolution in game play, offering livelier Pokémon to catch and Pokémon ecosystems cleverly built into table designs. Pokémaniacs will be mesmerized.
George: A creative take on pinball, with Pokémon features that fit well in the pinball context. I haven't had as much fun with video pinball since Pinball of the Dead.
Scott: A very solid game with the added fun of catching Pokémon. The mechanics are excellent and there's a lot more to keep you busy than in most pinball games.
