Feebas has to be the rarest Pokemon (that can be found in the wild), to ever exist. Finding him makes hunting for Chansey and Tauros in Red and Blue look easy. Before I get started about how to find this Pokemon, he is a pure water type. His evolution is also pure water as well. However it learns Recover, and has good all around stats. More info on evolving him towards the end. But first, lets try to find the little fish.
I highly recommend searching for this Pokemon when you have alot of free time. Finding him takes alot of patience, and luck. Any rod works fine, and be sure to have lots of Ultraballs. Feebas is on Route 119, and you will need someone with surf. There are three main water areas on Route 119, one is a big lake that has a fisherman with a Feebas. The other is more of a river and is towards the north, and the third requires waterfall.
I bet you're thinking, why does this all matter? I have my fishing spot, and I've fished away for hours, and I still have not found him. Oh yes it does. It seems that our lovely game producers added a little spin on this Pokemon, that makes him incredably rare. For you see, he is only on certain 'spaces'. Depending on what your "Popular Saying" (in Dewford) is, these spaces, and amount of spaces will change. However this does not mean that if you and your friend have the same saying, that they will be in the same spot. However changing the saying will change the location.
Confused yet? Let me try to elaborate. Unlike any other Pokemon, this one can only be found on specific spaces in that area. That will mean that you will have to fish on each square, then go onto the next until you find him. However, that is still not enough. You see, while Feebas will be in a certain square, you will also find other wild Pokemon. So I highly recommend fishing 2 or even 3 times on one square before moving onto the next. So it comes down to a test of patience and luck, as this can take a very long while. If you do find one, stay on that square and try to catch as many Females as you can.
Evolving Feebas
So you have found the elusive fish? And now you want to evolve him? This can be just as hard as finding him in some cases, however if you know what to do, this can be very easy.
Unlike any other Pokemon, Feebas will evolve when it has alot of beauty. How much, you ask? Well there is no real exact way to tell. My meter was about to touch the end bar, and was in that 'colored circle'. The Feebas you use really does not matter, as long as it does not dislike that colored Pokeblocks. Having it like it helps, but it does not effect if it will evolve or not.
Before you jump onto the Pokeblock making bandwagon, it will help to know what berries are best. I personally used lots of Kelpsy and Hondew berries. They gave a good amount of Beauty. Kelpsy can be found north of Route 115 and Hondew can be found using a trick bike north on Route 119. Waterfall may be needed, but I'm not sure. I recommend playing with your friends, but if you do not know anyone that has this game, just go to Slateport or Lilycove and play there. But it takes alot of practice to get good.
Now once you have alot of berries with a high level yet a low feel, use them on Feebas. The level means how much of that stat it will give, and the lower the feel, the more you can give it Pokeblocks.
Thats it for my guide. I hope I helped someone, if you have any questions, feel free to just email me at webmaster@upnetwork.net with any questions.
